Maheema Aswani is an Interior Architect and multidisciplinary designer with over five years of experience as a design faculty, teaching interior design and related disciplines at leading institutions. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University in Dubai, where her award-winning thesis Goodbye Slumbai—a socially inclusive reimagining of urban slums—was featured on Dezeen and received the Community Award.
Professionally, she has contributed to major projects such as the Iraq Pavilion at Expo 2020, as well as several luxury residential and commercial developments. Her creative practice extends into fashion, product, and jewelry design, reflecting her cross-disciplinary approach.
Maheema is also an architectural writer and editor, with published work in The National News, Rethinking The Future, and as editor of the book Scalable Tectonics: Speculative Futures. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions at Sharjah Heritage Museum and Tashkeel Dubai.
