Chitra Nair

Chitra Nair is a qualified fashion designer and educator with extensive expertise in university level teaching. She has an experience of over 13+ years in total, specializing in teaching for around 8 years. She is currently pursuing her PhD. In Fashion Design from Banasthali University, in India and possess an expertise in fashion, garment, and art design, fashion communication and marketing, design development and design aesthetics, fashion collection creation with an added knowledge of patterns, materials and textiles and fabric ornamentation. She takes keen interest in research and development in the fashion sector and works on several projects and publications on the same. She has been associated with Capital since 6 years and has a keen role in curriculum development, teaching and mentoring students enrolled for the fashion programs, evaluating student assessments, organizing seminars and fashion shows etc. to provide students with a wholesome educational experience that comprises both academic excellence and industry expertise.
